Texas State University – Enactus Chapter
It has been a great experience working with a group of Millennials from the McCoy College of Business, at Texas State via the Enactus Chapter, National Champions 2014.
This was GreenHatters larger PILOT for the CarbonGobbler. Within 6 months of seeding the program the reach has been to over 1500 students at Texas State University. The program has a target to save 684 MT of carbon emission over the next 8 month. The intent is to achieve and exceed these numbers overwhelmingly.
Texas State University has 37000 students and over 100 buildings on the Campus. We are hoping to attract a large portion of this population to adopt the CarbonGobbler.
We appreciate the support from the Texas State University Enactus Chapter who helped us:
o Test CarbonGobbler in a large user setting
o Recommend and draw out the Human Interface Design for CarbonGobbler, making it a pleasure to use the application
o Revamping our Websites content and providing a hosting solution
o Overall believing in the aspect and taking it up as a challenge to reduce emission at home and travel
We could not have done without the Wonderful team from Texas State University, McCoy College of Business and the Enactus program. Going forward we would want to reach out more Schools via the Enactus program to adopt CarbonGobbler and join in reducing their personal carbon responsibility.
